The environmental impact assessment of the 45000 tons/year mineral TiO2 special titanium dioxide project of Jiaozuo Weina Technology Co., Ltd. has been launched. Now, in accordance with the provisions of the Interim Measures for Public Participation in Environmental Impact Assessment, public participation activities for the project will be carried out.
1. Main issues for soliciting public opinions
Nature and construction location: This project is a completed but untested project, located north of Jiaoke Road in the western industrial park of Jiaozuo Industrial Agglomeration Zone, and north of the existing factory area of Jiaozuo Weina Technology Co., Ltd. on the east side of Jingsan Road.
Product and production scale: The products are divided into two categories: rutile and anatase mineral TiO2 special titanium dioxide, with production scales of 5625t/a and 16875t/a respectively, totaling 22500t/a.
Production process: The production process mainly uses TiO2 powder, calcium carbonate, and kaolin as raw materials, and goes through processes such as core matrix preparation, coated TiO2 preparation, coated composite particle preparation, mineral increment agent preparation, homogenization, and drying for production.
Construction of pollution control facilities: The dried waste gas from the 45000 ton/year mineral TiO2 special titanium dioxide project of Jiaozuo Weina Technology Co., Ltd. is treated by a set of cyclone dust collectors and bag filters, and then discharged through a 12m high exhaust pipe outside the workshop. Domestic sewage is treated by the original septic tank and discharged outside. According to the monitoring report issued by Henan Bosilin Environmental Testing Co., Ltd. for the project (Bosilin Environmental Monitoring Zi (2016) No. 40), it is known that the project's pollutants such as smoke, SO2, NO2, COD, SS, and NH3-N can meet the second level standard limit requirements in Table 3 of the "Industrial Furnace Air Pollutant Emission Standards" (DB41/1066-2015) and Table 4 of the "Comprehensive Wastewater Discharge Standards" (GB8978-1996).
